Remember the ten year old with the three layers of socks, who made a snowman and then disappeared back into his house...never to be seen again. Well, he came out.
His Mother was using a broom to clear the snow off of her car. I was helping. And here is that conversation.
Son: "Why are you brushing the snow off the car?"
Mom: "So the sun can melt the little bit left on the car."
Son: "Wait...why will it melt? It is still below freezing outside. It can't melt when it is freezing."
Mom: "Oh yes it can. The Sun still works even when it is cold out."
Son: "But it is freezing out. How come it can still be hot enough to melt snow?"
Mom: "I have no idea. I am not a Science Major. Maybe you can go Google it."
He goes inside for a couple minutes. Comes back outside.
Mom: "Well, what did you find out?"
He looks at both of us, dips his head.
"Well, looks like I am not a Science Major either."
Our laughter shook some snow off the cars too.
