The true importance of good spelling

This is exactly why I use the app "Grammarly" on all my computers. It's like spell check but for everything, not just documents and emails. In fact, I'm using it now as I type this. Autocorrect and "text speech" have really killed our ability to communicate effectively. There are times, I have to ask my 12 and 11-year-old kids what a certain phrase means because we have taken a word and shortened it to the point that makes it hard to understand.

To be fair to Trump, a fair amount of the posts I write on my phone have similar spelling and grammar issues.
