What do you miss most and what do you miss least about the military?

I miss the comradery. Most people that have not been in the military can't really understand the military lifestyle! I don't miss PT!!!

I miss certain aspects of the day-to-day hustle and bustle of the military and I use to miss the comradery, but RallyPoint has given back a lot of that with all the interaction, the "Meet and Greet," and the individuals that I've been able to help SPC Diana D. I got to meet you and your family, so that was a bonus.

SPC Margaret Higgins thank you for yours as well.
God places people in different situations in life to glorify his name. I know personally for I have found greatbess in my weakness. Its veterans like yourself that inspire me.
I made it my goal to inspire a nation through his guidance and to life through his eyes only.

Least? Mandatory PT every morning. I do like it in some degree as it keeps us in better shape.
Most? The guaranteed paycheck, federal holidays, not paying taxes on post, but most importantly being a Medic.

To be honest I miss deployments. I also do not miss deployments. At my present age liberty call in Olongapo would probably kill me.

I still get to put my uniform on once a month. The challenge for me is getting geared up for drill weekend and then once it's over, coming down from the hustle and bustle of the weekend. I do miss being on active duty though. I think life was a little easier - at least for me.

While I agree it's easier to focus on one career then two, I think a unique challenge for active duty Soldiers is figuring out what to do when they get out of the army. I think this is especially true for Soldiers who joined at a young age and the army is the only real job they've ever had.
