Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the July 30th Anaglyph Saturday edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "The Eagle Rises." An anaglyph takes two pictures and superimposes them, creating a three-dimensional image in a single picture. And I am reminded yet again by today's APOD that I need a pair of 3D glasses. Cié la guerre. If you rotate this image 90 degrees right (where the Lunar horizon runs from left to right), you'll wind up with the orientation that most of us have seen before. Here in the APOD we see the view that Command Module pilot Mike Collins as both both spacecraft met after the first landing on the Moon.

I don't know where my Red and Blue glasses are, but there is enough information seen to know what a dramatic image this is, Maj William W. 'Bill' Price!!! Outstanding Share, my friend!!!

Major Bill that is so incredible with the glasses on . I can put my finger in the 3-D effect and it appears I can touch the module. Unbelievably impressive. Thank you.
