She should not worry about the government, the constitution was written to protect individual citizens. Worrying about hamstringing the government sounds like something a communist would say.

MSG Stan Hutchison - If you throw a rock in a pack of dogs the one that squeals is the one that got hit! My point was that this thread is about Justice Jackson and her inability to define a woman and her stating what she said about the constitution...the First amendment is to protect the citizens from the government not the other way around! When the government starts censoring to protect the government who makes that call of what should be censored...very subjective slippery slope to go down.

By the way the so called right wing tactic of diversion as you say is right out of the democrat playbook...deny, deflect, divert! You brought up the whatabout when you brought up Justice Thomas which has nothing to do with the subject of the thread.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - I said I was guilty, didn't I?

RE; the Justice's comment, I believe when she said ""And so I guess some might say that the government actually has a duty to take steps to protect the citizens of this country," she was looking at the duty to PROTECT citizens. Is protecting our citizens a governmental duty or not?
