Lt Col Charlie Brown This one strikes close to home. Thank God for Charter schools. I worked with TUSD (and others) on employers boards at my last three companies. This is SOP for them.

Many have disappointed us lately. A pet peeve of mine and subject of many of my posts. Don't give up yet. There are many who are fine. The various charter schools (non-union) in our area are very good and go out of their way to involve parents. With a few exceptions, the local public schools seem to have lost their minds.

CWO4 Terrence Clark I keep seeing and reading more stories everyday about the public schools and their teaching, excuse me, indoctrinating the kids. Tar and feathers aren't good enough any more. It's time to start rebuilding trust in schools by busting the unions and fire the wokesters who don't want to teach.

LTC Trent Klug Lacking ethical politicians that good idea withers. We can keep pushing for school vouchers and while we wait, starve them out by moving to charter schools. Easier in some states than others.

I remember reading a diatribe recently that things like that drag show aren't "grooming," and calling it such is just showing our bigotry.
But wait....
As Paul Harvey would say, now you know the rest of the story.
Does this mean that every teacher who ever had a conversation with a student about sex or sexuality is a groomer? No. Especially when it is done at an age/developmentally appropriate level and when initiated by the student. Even then, there should be boundaries - like even high school teachers should not be discussing specifics of "how" regarding various sex acts, or their own personal desires or proclivities. (I am talking like which specific acts they like to do or have done, not a generic "I am gay" statement.)
But the ones who go over the top like this, and create the discussion, even forcing it upon students.... Yeah, those folks are probably doing it for a reason. And that reason ain't a "well-rounded education."
