“ A U.S. Army soldier is facing a slew of terrorism charges after allegedly giving classified military information to a white supremacist group with Satanic leanings as part of a deadly plot against members of his own unit, prosecutors said.
The charges announced Monday in Manhattan Federal Court allege that Army Private Ethan Melzer gave information about U.S. troops stationed overseas — including whereabouts, movement and security details — to the Order of the Nine Angles (O9A). The intel supplied by Melzer was to be used as a way to carry out a "mass casualty" incident, according to the criminal complaint and indictment.”

There was a time this would be treason and the death penalty if guilty. Life sentence means a free ride at the expense of those he plotted to kill. But, as we all know, the military has abandoned the death penalty.

MCPO Collins, You are right, Firing squad seems fit, with the way our military is now a days hell, probably go to leavenworth and 5-10 years he will get a "riot" to free him because "he used is freedom of speech...." Which we don't have once we sign the dotted line....

SGT (Join to see) - contract law 101 and at anytime a judge can void said contract in the interest of the constitution or if said contract is involve invalid parties, involves contraband, is under coerceon, or violates the law

CPL Benjamin Long, true but UCMJ is different from the civilian side.. as well the said soldier decided to help 09A a known jihadi style group to get his brothers and sisters... so you would rather just give that pvt a slap on the wrist and call it a day? I know the Corps teaches Honor Courage Commitment... why is it hard to understand this kid broke his vows that we are said to uphold ...
