Hello Pet Parents. My fur baby had his yearly appointment Friday, November 21, 2025. I informed his veterinarian I had watched a YouTube discussing how dogs have an "L" shaped ear canal that collects debris and wax. Although the ear looks clean the curve in the "L" is full of debris. They cleaned my dogs ears and found clogs of waxy debris. For home cleaning his ears, the vet gave me instructions how to clean his ears. Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, and water in a bottle. Take a 4x4 gauze and twist it the size of the dog's ear canal, put solution on it and twist it down the ear canal, carefully. Remove it in a scooping motion. Voila! If your dog's ears are clogged this cleans them.

Very helpful. I wonder if this would work for the kitties as well.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard I'm passing this over to my wife. She cleans our dogs ears but buys something which may be a pre-made solution of what you described. Thanks for the info.
