The ATDM program provides training in high-demand skills that lead to well-paying jobs with military suppliers. Students earn credentials to work in trades that bolster the U.S. defense industry, such as Additive Manufacturing, CNC Machining, Non-destructive Testing, Quality Control Inspection (Metrology) and Welding.
If you’re at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and are a U.S. citizen or have a permanent work visa, you’re set. Just ensure that you’re open to relocating for training and can clear drug and background checks. Not having prior job experience is not a problem. This program welcomes Veterans, military spouses and anyone eyeing a high-demand, well-paying job. Accepted students move temporarily for 16 weeks of training to Danville, Virginia, which is renowned for its budding high-tech workforce and scenic beauty. Classrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art, advanced equipment ready for use on day one. ATDM labs at the premier campus of the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research set students up for success. With its vast equipment range, hands-on training is immediate.

The nice part is that the program is open to all, vets and non vets and it is only four months. Jobs offers come in even before graduation.

If It Were Up To Me, I'd Obliterate Our Current Curriculum,
The Entire Distance From K Through 12th Grade, And Make A DRASTIC Change:
And Beginning In Kindergarten ~ Educate The Students ~
Someone Stated Long Ago: "The United States Ranks 38th In The Area Of Math,
BUT They Rank #1 In THINKING "They're The Best".

The Schools HAVE Special Manufacturing, Trade & Career Schools....
My Question Is: "WHY Are ALL Of Them NOT... Our General System Is NOT Working & Has NOT Worked Well Since The 1700's When Farming Technology Was Taught ~ Because It WAS Used, ~~ Here's A "THINKER For Ya: Involving K - 12 ~ ~ Once We've Completed the 6 Th GRADE; During The Following SIX YEARS, What Did We Learn Which Was USEFUL Or Even Qualified Us For ANY Form Of Employment?.. Yup, It's Definitely A "THINKER", For SURE.....I Concluded "NOTHING" ` It Was 6 Years SHOT All To "L" ~ WASTED Time & Money To Be Used... ~ Uh Some Other Way?

LTC Marc King -
In General, Upon Completion Of 6 Th GRADE ~ The Other 6 Years Are A Waste Of Time, As Nothing Of Value Is Taught Nor Learned Which Will Add Anything To Our Lives,
NOR Qualify Us For ANY Form Of Employment ~ (Think Back To Your Time In K-12 Schools). ~We Need Better Schools, Such As The Ones You Mentioned... Trades, Tech & Skill.
BTW: I Dropped Out Mid 9 Th GRADE, Enlisted In USAF On My 17th Birthday ~~
Est: 95% Of My Education Came From "The United States Armed Forces Institute" (USAFI) During My 4 Year Enlistment ~ While Public Schools Provided Close To NOTHING.
