Drunk Russian airline passenger tied up after getting abusive, would this "fly" in America?
An out of control passenger on Siberian Airlines is restrained by passengers (beaten up and tied up). He is arrested after the flight and everyone walks away.
Could this same thing occur on and American flight over American soil? Would this happen in the same manner?
No disputing the fella was out of control, but looking for thoughts on this occurrence and on the differences, if any, on the way this would have went down ?

Wow, I would hope that civilians would react to an unruly passenger that could potentially cause harm to other passengers. When I fly, I'm always observing other passengers hoping that I don't ever have to react to a possible situation where another passenger attempts to cause harm to other passengers or tries to take down the plane, but if I had to I would in a heartbeat.

I think at home the marshall (I think that's what their called) would have arrested IF there was one on his flight. I'm sure there are some people who fly on American airlines who would have dealt with the man. I think they should have tied him to the seat though lol

I am not sure how many flights have them, but I am sure if one was aboard they would have put a stop to that type of behavior.

This not only has happened but will happen again in America. People have curb stomped violent passengers to death on our airplanes. There have been instances of people sitting on unruly miscreants.

Hopefully with all the safeguards we have regarding airline travel we do not see anything to this extent.
