Are there tools or methods to increase the visibility of the unit I am currently serving in to attract past, present and future assigned Soldiers?

Starting a Facebook page is a great idea! I have several that I a part of. I am even a part of a group for basic and one of the ships I am on. Try to work on doing a reunion. And if you need an event coordinator... let me know. LOL :)

Sir, I am a huge fan of utilizing social media for the same reasons. I am in the National Guard and we cater to the community also and just our soldiers. I pretty much took on the role of a Social Media Officer my company. I created a page and often post content on it for members of the unit and their families. While we are training I ensure we try to collect any media from our training and post it on the site. I also post events in our units history. Now we have additional Company level Senior NCOs and officers utilizing this as a tool.  The link below is to my company page. We had to add the states PAO as an admin to control any content deemed questionable to the representation of the NCNG.
