The short-term solution to the water problem in Jackson, Miss., has been free drive-thru bottle water pickup sites.
But that's an issue for people who have no way to get to the water, like April Williams. Her car's been broken down for a week and it'll likely be another before the part she needs can come in. On Thursday, she was down to half a case of bottled water in an apartment with three adults and two young kids.

This is absolutely a crisis...that's what I am hearing from people who live near there. It's been on all the national news stations too.

I am originally from that area...I hope they get the water to those that need it...water is a life source. Nothing else bring in a national guard water purification team.
When this is over and water gets back in process, I hope they hold the city leadership accountable and possibly some of them go to jail. There is no excuse for this other than the city leadership mismanagement of funds and taxes. They are crooked as the day is long down there and have been for about the last 20 years or so. Crime is rampant, infrastructure is is falling apart, gangs and drugs are everywhere...sad to see my old stomping grounds that was a successful and beautiful city for many years turning into Chicago!
