I would have thought Leigh Ann Hester would have made the list, MAJ Montgomery Granger, but I guess we can't have everything. She was the first woman to be awarded the Silver Star since WWII.
She's now a detective with the Franklin (TN) Police Department (pictured second from right).

I served in the same brigade as SGT Hester in the spring of 2005, when she earned that Silver Star. I watched her on security video as she calmly and confidently went about killing the enemy. A true pro.

Impressive, MAJ Montgomery Granger. I live in Franklin, and we're proud that's she here. She was with the TNARNG last I heard, and I think she may now be a first sergeant.

Great share! All this and more needs to be included in teaching our young US history so they see and remember: "Out of Many, One".
