"Goddamnit," Milley said to others. "There's a room full of lawyers here. Will someone inform him of my legal responsibilities?"
"He's right, Mr. President," Barr said. "The general is right."
The backdrop: Trump wanted to invoke the Insurrection Act and put Milley in charge of a scorched-earth military campaign to suppress protests that had spiraled into riots in several cities.
I've always liked General Milley, but I'm beginning to realize just how much we owe him in terms of damage control over the last few years. After General Mattis left, General Milley may have been the only thing that kept Trump out of trouble...

I really don’t care what the left or any other socialist organizations think of me.

PV2 Larry Sellnow - For once we're in perfect agreement. I think we differ on why we're there. Example, the current administration is going to keep dividing us according to our skin color and who we vote for. Demonize half the population and blame them for your lot in life.
