They say that a picture paints a thousand words. I took these pics while serving in the 1/506 Infantry, Camp Greaves Korea.

I have no regrets about being an Infantryman. It sucked often, but it was the best misery with the best Soldiers in the world!

Perfectly said. Shared misery makes for a special bond. What I appreciated about the infantry is that everyone wanted to be there and took pride in being able to handle the crappiest of conditions. Frankly I miss it.

Wanna know what it is like to be an Infantryman? Wait till the coldest day of the year. Go into your back yard and dig a large hole. Get in it. Have spouse water you with a hose while screaming at you. Fill in hole. Repeat. Eat only cold food of dubious quality. Repeat. I loved every minute of it though.

The infantry to me has always had my utmost respect as they are the salt of the earth. As a Tanker I would have done anything to support the Infantry. There were a few requests to back up my tank to warm up an infantry platoon in the winter which I gladly obliged. Just don't compare gun sizes. lol
