The war will always wage on whether it’s in our heads, under our boots, or a hundred yards in front of our rifle. These war movie scenes may not be real, but each time you watch them, they will undoubtedly make you feel some type of way.

The scene from Black Hawk Down is spot on. However, the most emotional scene in my opinion is when the aircraft with the fallen heroes is closing it's loading bay doors while the voice over (of one of the deceased) reads a letter addressed to his wife. Very powerful moment.

I am pretty sure I got warm fuzzies from the war scenes in Forrest Gump. I felt sorry for Bubba.

I like fight scene in the 1986 movie Platoon between SSG Barnes and SGT Elias....typical scene of today's command climate in some units.

Don't usually get to feeling much from movies, but the D-Day landing scenes in Saving Private Ryan leave me in awe of the men who came across the beaches that morning

I'm glad they had Acts of Valor and Lone Survivor in there. Both movies kick you in the moto and in the feels.

What year did the military change from the wwll helmet to the Kevlar Nazi design?
And from the white star to the upside down V on vehicles?

LTC (Join to see)
I was issued the steel pot in basic (1988), but got a Kevlar at my first unit in Germany, so the phase in was around that time period. No sure when the white star stopped being put on vehicles, but the upside down V began during Desert Storm
