I found this humorous but a lot of truth in it as well. The list does not stop at 11, what is some of the funniest things you've heard?

Telling Marines to police call outside the wire on deployment. That was a good one....

Heh, GySgt (Join to see). That reminds me of the bottom-line rule of engagement our battalion had when we were on the Korean DMZ: If you open fire, you stay out until you recover either a body or all your brass.

One patrol spent almost 24 hours recovering 57 casings, another one sent back the carcass of a kimche deer which came running out of the bush at the wrong moment.

That's insane. If you remember Haditha Iraq mid 2000's.... Go police call our C-Wire... Me to 1sgtSgt, "we are wearing full gear inside the compound because of snipers and you want us to go pick up their street trash!?!?" Yes was his response... Needless to say that happened for about 5 minutes until our CO saw us!

Hands down, without a question it would have to be 'battle buddy.' There is no other phrase I've heard since I have been in the Army that makes me feel like a joke. It became a big problem when my civilian friends heard the phrase used and wouldn't let me hear the end of it. Ever since I heard that phrase, it made me feel as if I wasn't in the Army, more like a boy scout or something.

Yeah, that's brutal.
Glad I was out before that one took hold.
And before PT belts.
(Really? PT belts? That and stress cards. Whoa.)

They use air guns now, it doesn't hurt as much as a needle.

I know that most if not all soldiers have heard their First Sergeants tell them during a last formation briefing not to have sex with underage girls. Must check I.D. before engaging in that activity.
