I'm sure all states have something. Some are more generous than others; some are easier to access than others.

Many counties have veterans service officers (or whatever they are called) who would have deeper knowledge on what benefits may exist at the state level. Local veteran service organizations may as well.

Anyone have any benefits to share for transitioning service members in Maryland?

The only one I'm aware of (because I used it) is that Indiana pays for post-9/11 Purple Heart recipients college (up to 120 credits) and also for any children that they have (also up to 120 credits). The plus being that you can use your G.I. Bill for anything after the 120 credits.
