LtCol Robert Quinter - Yeah, just ask them and they'll be more than happy to tell you. :)

Maj John Bell - Such truthful people just can't mislead anyone! :) Can't say from experience, but I understand the women pilots now are correspondingly beautiful, engaging, competent and humble.

Well, staying in my own Service, if you want to be Infantry, you got to be thin. The ability to embrace the Suck is a strong trait. Remember, in the Infantry, there is no Success without Suc.
In the Engineers, if you saw a guy that looked like he was working out with The Rock, you assumed that he was from a Medium Girder Bridge Company. The boys pushing steel all day tended to be on the stout side.

An Infantry officer once told me, "A lean dog runs a long race."

After i started lifting I went to 48"chest and a 16 1/2 neck and around 200 lbs at 5'9". I aways managed a 90 + run score at that weight. But I didn't run much faster at 170.

Despite what many think, being a "Meat Neck" is not a great attribute for the infantry if you're field excursions are measured in weeks or months instead of days. Lean and lanky for the infantry.

This is a rare look into the inner workings of a Marine 3011 Master Sergeant Promotion Packet. Great guys, tough as nails, but intelligence not required.

SSG Warren Swan - LOL, when you compare the ratio of support personnel to combat personnel, if you were to shrink the Army to the manning levels of the Marine Corps, the Army would probably only have about a dozen combat personnel.
