I GET IT!

I just don't understand why he just can't admit to the error. IS it his pride? Just throw yourself to the mercy of the people you command, say you made an error and FIX it. Just Fix it. (No, I don't think the POTUS is 100% responsible for what is going on there, but he is at least 25% of the problem, if not more. In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”) Is that the reason it really doesn't bother him too much? What Muslim side is he on? I am really trying to understand.

It is SO apparent what we should do. It's frustrating. I wanna pull my hair out.
NO! WE can't fight everyone's fight. They have got to fight their own battles. I just think that we left these people wide open to the attacks and slaughter that they get and see every single day.
Should we send combat troops to squash ISIS/ISIL?

So SPC (Join to see) , help me make sure I understand your position. Nouri al-Maliki was enjoying US security for his election and position as Prime Minister. US money was rebuilding his country and funding his government. He was well on the path of gutting military and civilian leadership of any Sunnis by 2011. President Obama was already on course to unseat and ultimately assassinate another leader of a "sovereign state" (Gaddafi). President Obama had the world most power military force still in Iraq, a military that paid dearly for Nouri al-Maliki's county's stability. But President Obama could do nothing to change or nullify the SOFA? No indication of a breach by Nouri al-Maliki? You are saying that this, and not President Obama's campaign pledge of ending the war in Iraq is the case?

Sgt Mark Ramos Sounds like the president promised what he could do, which was in line with plans already laid out, to score points with Americans who no longer wanted US participation in the middle-east. I would call this an observation, or an opinion. Not really a position I care to defend.
It just seems like to his administration, the goal was withdrawal. To that end, he was successful. Political pressure seemed to force renewed participation after US left. THAT IS on him, and congress.

Isn't that the truth! I mean, I can hope that I never have to make that decision, but if the situation comes, have the cajones to do so.

None of it is making sense right now. He is doing everything possible to keep his promises, and you now what, he just can't. He can't. He should just throw his hands up to the people for mercy and be a man and say, hey! I screwed up. I have got to fix it. I am sending troops in. I will have them out in a year. I don't know. But just admit it.

SGT (Join to see), in a sense I am holding my breath until January 2017 while working at the grass-roots level for a significant change in power over this nation. I certainly hope that enough of the electorate have become wiser since 2012 and recognize that the government does not necessarily know best for them and certainly is not in the best position to deliver what is good in an effective or efficient manner.
