How many of you still reflect or think about the military lifestyle years after you got out?

While I do not focus on the past, I still reflect on it. My role in the Universe will take care of it's self.

I'm a web developer in Federal Govt. If I could do that in uniform, it'd be awesome but I'm 46 and honestly do not have the patience for some of the bs we know that happens!

PV2 (Join to see) I don't have many "gifts" but patience was one.

As I look back, I remember a couple of PFCs being in-briefed at 3/1 by a Sgt. I kid you not, this was what was said. He was in the upstairs Head.

"Alright Gents, each of you is responsible for one stall. Keep it clean. Take care of it. Attention to detail is essential. And if you do a good job. Someday, after a lot of hard work.... All this can be yours" gesturing to the entire Head. To this day I don't know if he was serious or had the best pokerface I have ever seen.

"The reward for hard work is more hard work"

living the outcome on a daily 24/7 thing.  So how can I forget.  Just like many others . But yes the training they put in us I think is there in the deep for ever. Not saying that is a bad thing. Because of that training I still walk and it has helped also make me get threw life.

A redo but with the knowledge we have now. I would have made a reason to go to a different base for training lol.. like that would work.
