UPDATE: After the publication of this article, a local NBC affiliate contacted the FBI for confirmation. The FBI confirmed that the six men were apprehended after illegally entering the United States in Arizona.

Original article:

A highly trusted federal agent working under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has confirmed to Breitbart Texas that a group composed of 5 Pakistani men and 1 man from Afghanistan was captured by U.S. Border Patrol agents after having illegally crossed the porous U.S.-Mexico border in the Tucson Sector of Arizona.

The six men were traveling in a group and were captured roughly 16 miles into the state of Arizona, specifically, near the small picturesque town of Patagonia, Arizona. The apprehension of the group occurred late on Monday night, November 16, 2015.

Border Patrol agents were unable to do extensive interviews with the six Middle Eastern men because the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took over the matter. The aliens were immediately transferred to Tucson where the FBI took custody.

On Wednesday evening, Breitbart Texas disclosed a report by other federal agents claiming that 8 Syrian illegal aliens were captured while attempting to enter the United States in the Laredo Sector. The Department of Homeland Security has now confirmed our exclusive report.

Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, Breitbart Texas reported that 5 Syrians were arrested in Honduras cutting their travel plans to the U.S. short. Those 5 Syrians entered Honduras by air and were headed towards the Guatemalan border. All five of the Syrians were said to be young males and were all carrying stolen Greek passports.

CPO Andy Carrillo, MS You know this is not new, it's been going on for a while. Here's a link to another article you might like to see from 2010.

Wherever ISIS believes the 'infidels' least expect it AND congregate in the greatest numbers (for max effect): Black Friday at any Wal*Mart; Christmas Mass or New Year's Eve. That is when I plan to be home with my family.

December is my best bet. It is a month of Jewish and Christian holidays and a month where people are more focused on shopping and partying than being vigilant. If I were a betting man, the cities of Chicago (rail hub), St Louis (road and river) and New Orleans (road and river) look good. They are in the interior and given the 'Black Lives Matter' movement in two of these cities, most people are distracted enough to create an opportunity. Seattle, Los Angeles, Anaheim (Disney) and Orlando (Disney) are secondary considerations for the terror possibilities. But, ISIS is into multiple small coordinated attacks and not the big 9/11 style attacks. We are due for something and if it will result in a wake-up call to our country that we are at war, then it will be more than just surprising.

COL (Join to see), ISIS has threatened New York and Washington DC recently; do you think that these targets are real or just diversionary talk?

Every city is a target and that is the point about terror. They can claim NYC and DC are targets, which places everyone on alert and some in fear. But, it may also serve to reduce vigilance in other areas of the country (a divergence). They prefer soft targets with people aimlessly walking through life, unaware of the terror in their own neighborhood. Dc and NYC may have some of these traits but both are more hardened than other areas of our country.

CPO Andy Carrillo, MS, I live about as far north as you can go in this country, and even I am concerned. I feel sorry for those states where open carry/concealed carry of firearms are not allowed, because this is the time to carry a gun !! We are faced with, for lack of better words, with an "invasion", of middle eastern persons who are trying to enter the country illegally. I'm sure that this happens often, but in the wake of the Paris attacks, and the ISIS threats to attack our country, I believe that we have every right to be more concerned.

Capt Seid Waddell - The FBI has been showing much interest in a north Phoenix enclave and its high schools AND in these 6 recently arrested middle eastern young men making their way north in AZ. I wonder if ISIS is sending 'community
organizers' to recruit and stir up idealistic students?

PVT Robert Gresham - The FBI, a north Phoenix enclave of high schools, and 6 young middle eastern men caught by the Border Patrol as illegal aliens--what might be the connection here?

CPO Andy Carrillo, MS, sounds like a good place for some undercover investigations.
I believe the students have to be more emotionally damaged than idealistic though, considering what they agree to do.

Capt Seid Waddell - Yes, but disaffection goes a long, long way when radicals present a way to vent manufactured frustrations, i.e., the "need" for black safe zones on college campuses, etc.

UPDATE: The [FBI] agents said "ISIS was recruiting high-school age students and the bureau wanted us to know what to look for," said a source, who was not authorized to speak for the [Phoenix Police] department. He said the briefing was unusual in that it only applied to high schools in a small area of north Phoenix.

"Officers are routinely trained to recognize and identify all types of criminal activity -- narcotics, prostitution, DUI, criminal gangs -- but not Islamic jihadist activity," said Mark Spencer, a former Phoenix police officer of 25 years now with Judicial Watch. "This [FBI] briefing in Phoenix would have provided information of great value to the front-line rank-and-file police personnel who patrol an area directly impacted by an unsecure Southern border and thus terrorist related crossings. Phoenix is becoming a hotbed.”
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/11/20/phoenix-flagged-as-potential-hotbed-for-terror-recruiting.html?intcmp=hpbt2

The FBI's interest in middle eastern illegal aliens and Phoenix is becoming a bit more clear: perhaps these "immigrants" were 'community organizers' and 'recruiters' making their way to this enclave (and perhaps others?) which has already produced 2 jihadists who were killed in a terrorist action in TX.
The wave of young Western people flocking to fight with this notorious organization begs the question – why are they leaving behind comfortable lives of privilege to join one of the most violent terror organizations in history?

Christopher Dickey, a foreign editor of The Daily Beast, recently said on CNN that many recruits are young men in their teens and 20s. What draws them into the fight is a combination that he calls “TNT,” which stands for Testosterone, Narrative and Theater.

They are “almost all young guys,…they passionately identify themselves with some oppressed people,” and “they want to project themselves on the world stage,” he explains. Their drive is a deadly combination of youthful fantasies and aspirations to “be someone.” The Christian Science Monitor elaborates on the reasons why young Westerners would become attracted to an Islamic terror group:

1. Appeal to sense of identity and place – According to news and FBI reports, IS typically preys on Western youth who are disillusioned and have no sense of purpose or belonging. Much like criminal gangs, IS offers disaffected teens a chance to join a group that gives them purpose and meaning.

IS offers structure and a defined place in the Caliphite society they have created. Such a surrounding can be appealing for someone who feels he is adrift in the world.

2. Appeal to a sense of religious obligation – IS appeals to a sense of religious duty and a youthful desire to express religious sentiments that make people feel connected to each other.
Many of these young people are new converts to Islam. Fighting a Jihad with IS serves as a proving ground for their new beliefs and, if they survive, a confirmation of the new “higher power” at their extremist fingertips.
Furthermore, IS’s publicized successes and their declared aspirations to dominate the world and impose Sharia law appeals to these young religious zealots.

Take, for example, what happened this week in Huntington Beach, California. A group of seventh graders were forced to learn a song promoting Islam. It seems a teacher, who moonlights as an aspiring songwriter, crafted some lyrics to promote the Islamic faith: “Like a sandstorm/on the desert/sending camels/into motion,” the lyrics read. “Like how a single faith/can make a heart open/They might only have one God/But they can make an explosion.”
They can make an explosion.
Subtle. And the teacher used the melody of a song titled, “This is My Fight Song.”
Parent Nicole Negron posted her concerns on Facebook after her son brought home a notebook that included a stick-figure man saying, “Believe in Allah! There is no other god.”
“I believe that by singing this song, the children feel comfortable believing that Allah might be the only god and maybe that they should start following him,” she told CBS Los Angeles.
The local school district called the song “unfortunate” – especially in the aftermath of the Muslim terrorist attacks in Paris.
“It was not the intention of the teacher to incite, anger or offend,” Superintendent Carol Hansen told the Orange County Register.

Why is the FBI so interested in this case if it is only 6 more people emigrating to the US for a better life?
