How will you observe June 27, 2015, National PTSD Awareness Day? Do we need such a day, or any day designated for disorder or illness? Do we need a national healthy mind, body and spirit day? Do we need a national 'celebrate Resiliency' Day? I like the sound of the latter. What say you?

SO many "awareness" days. It seems like the usually cover something that most are already aware of and those who aren't probably won't care anyway.

I have to be honest CH (MAJ) William Beaver --- I had not heard of 'National PTSD Awareness Day' before now.

I'm just curious ... is there anything that doesn't have a day or a week or a month designated as 'National ___ Awareness (or Appreciation) ___'? Seems to me that there are even days/weeks/months with multiple designations anymore.

Perhaps this has all gone a little too far and, as such, has lost any real significance?

Yep, this crap is definitely out of control --- I just found that there is a calendar to help us keep it all straight:

With all due respect Gunny, the only thing in June that is worth a shit is Flag Day, Father's Day and Hunter Logan's Birthday!

I think this is another feel good day. Diagnosed with PTSD and I really don't see this helping in any way, shape or form. The last thing any of us needs is pity or to define ourselves with this condition.
