I am worried, that history will tell us, he was on the other side... A motivated insider (business and leadership term) for the enemy. I pray I am wrong. CPT (Join to see)

The way it was written it wasn't insinuating anything. It was pointing out that history might paint a different story they what we are currently observing. You shouldn't be offended by someone else having a difference of opinion. There are many questionable acts associated with this administration and most administrations, the POTUS is not a dictator, the power is meant to go to the people. So the people have every right to question the intent and actions of the parities they elect.

CPT Shahriar Chowdhury - No disrespect taken. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and to disagree... We have earned that right.

No, I don't think the president, our president, my president, is secretly (actively) representing the enemy. But, I remain worried that his actions or lack of action could be (tacitly). I believe his actions, or lack their of, lead many to question his motives; to include me. I fully understand he is the CINC and he has much more information than we do, so watch and wonder.

I have always had faith that my leaders are doing the right things for the right reasons; many times based on information we may not be privy to. It is hard to spend a career in the Army (and be happy) if you are always questioning your leadership; that is true of any career,I suspect. Nevertheless, I have my worries, and my opinion, preposterous or not - preposterous is also an opinion. I have heard many smart military and former military senior leaders voice similar concerns.

Believe it or not, I am an optimist, and I believe all people are inherently good, despite being let down more than once, and despite having been around the world and knowing first hand evil exists. At times, it almost seems the administration is out of touch with just how evil the world and our enemies are. It is like we are trying to minimize it.

President Obama's (and his administration) actions and policies have been questionable, lethargic, and aimless with regards to our enemies and potential enemies. I believe that he has created/creates the conditions for increasing security vulnerabilities here and abroad. Regardless of your opinions (and mine) with regards to our involvement/invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq (good idea or not), and our other interests, I believe under this president/administration our security situation has gotten worse, and continues to deteriorate.

Using world ISIL vs. ISIS, or refusing to use the word terrorism despite many events fitting our own definitions of terrorism, or changing GWOT to Overseas Contingency Operations, all make me wonder... and lead me to believe we (yes we) are more concerned about what our enemies think, then crushing their souls.

This is not a sporting event, it is a war(s), and requires to take a definitive stand, and to decide if you are all in our not. As a former Soldier, we often commented that the Army (Military) was at war, not the country.

This is war, and until we decide (A) we are actually at war, and (B) commit the resources and effort to achieve our war aims (which I don't think we ever had/have), we will continue to flounder... The president is complicit and responsible for that.

History, like always, will decide where the truth lies.

Thanks SGT Kristin Wiley. I am not offended. I don't expect or want everyone everyone to agree.

CPT (Join to see) Sadly, it is what he said and it made sense and it will be replayed by ISIL and Arab conspiracy types that want to claim the US created and is supporting ISIL.

The US did create ISIS in a way. We decimated a country and that made people run to the groups they thought would help defend their nation
