Once submitted, how long does it typically takes for an AATAM application to get denied or reserved?

Just recently IST'd to new unit for 68X. Training NCO sat down with me to discuss the school and we submitted an application, to which I received an email that it had been submitted on my behalf. I'm curious as to how long it typically takes if it gets denied or reserved. It's a school that's less than 45 days out and it has one wait slot. Our state doesn't have an allocation for that school, but I am required to go to that school. I'm wondering what the process typically is and how long I should wait before following up, or who to follow up with.

Schools don't have "wait slots".
A Soldier gets a "wait" or a "reserved" once the application has gone completely through.
There is one seat remaining in the OCT class, which you are probably talking about.
Here's the bad news:
68X only has 3 guard seats for prior service in FY23, all 3 are filled.
The 68X course is QMS locked, which means that we cannot request an unfilled non-Guard seat in ATRRS.
You have four options:
1. Your Group S3/Schools contacts the course manager directly and asks for an exception to input you in a non-Guard seat.
2. Your Group S3/Schools section needs to ask Utah MEPS to input you for any class in an unfilled nonprior service Guard seat
3. Your Training NCO needs to move fast to get you into an FY24 Guard seat as soon as that opens.
4. work in your original MOS or pick one they can get a seat for.
