Any sugestions on what is the best Military based Credit Union to join ?

It's not a CU, but USAA has everything you need in a financial institution. EVERYTHING!!!

Thanks for responding. I just wanted to see about joining one since many claim they are better than a normal bank for loans and interest rates.

USAA is SOLID military. Loans, banking, financial investing, insurance for EVERYTHING. Most services are free to members. You will not find a better and more CONSISTENT institution than USAA. And it's generational. Membership is passed onto your kids and grandkids. [login to see] . Don't let the sun set on another day without joining!!! Typically, almost all insurance companies can't touch them, and loans are very competitive, if not better Free checking. Use another bank's ATM, and USAA refunds the fees!!!

Yeah, I been with USAA for years, but been looking for a Military based Credit Union. The Navy/ Army one stated I couldn't join as a Veteran ?

I am a member of both USAA & Navy Fed. I have found that USAA is great on the customer service front and top notch for all my needs, whether banking, insurance, credit, etc. However Navy Fed offered things like world wide support and local ATMs (USAA has gotten better about this in the last 10 years).

I am a member of USAA and have been for several years. I have my auto, home, and life insurance through them as well. When a woman tried to park her car in the space where my truck was parked, USAA made sure my truck was restored to its original condition. When my roof sprung a leak due to hail, within a week my house had a new roof (my neighbors are still waiting for their insurance to approve replacing their roof). I have checking, savings, and credit card accounts with USAA as well. I especially like receiving a check every six months as a dividend!
