I now own a tech startup and have gone through federal and CA state certification processes (DVBE/SDVOSB). Now I am focused on building my business. Who else is going through the same thing?

Just beginning. I started it up as a technical consulting business and am now trying to build it into something more durable.

LTC Jeffrey Strickland, University research lab initially, but that has dropped off now and I am currently exploring other options. It is still a one-man operation at this point.

LTC Jeffrey Strickland, for the University, I operated their µ-CT scanner and did 3-D reconstructions and data analysis. I am currently working with a micro-factory with an eye toward developing commercial products; still in the exploratory stages.
I am recently retired from the University and am still getting reoriented.

I run a small unlicensed business on the web (craigslist) for fixing computers, laptops, and some smartphones and tablets. I get requests once in a while and they are usually pretty easy. I'm not planning on making anything of it, just some pocket money on the side.

I do not own a tech startup. I do actually run a healthcare consulting firm that works with technology however

We too have healthcare customers occasionally. Staying on top of all the compliance like HIPAA is key.
