I got an email from a member of my unit concerning DTS. I decide to pop in and check it out. Guess which SYSADMIN can't get into DTS either?

I'm a "Level 25" approver in my unit and I got stuff sitting in my cue that I cannot access. Our IT guys, who I consider the smartest guys on the planet, said that there was a system wide update that went out and when it did, MacAfee began blocking JAVA and the applications used to verify credentials to log in. It was a system issue and not a user issue. Now I'm not a smart man, and I did not sleep at a Holiday Express Inn last night either, but when my IT guys say that there isn't anything that they can do locally, I believe them. So we wait...

Anyone else spent their morning wrestling with DTS rather than doing their actual job?

SGT Curtis Earl ,

What is the problem with the authorization? The Soldier cannot log in or something in the authorization that needs to be fixed?

I'm the go-to in my unit as I'm almost always the one that can get a DTS authorization to be approved first time go.

Most probably they've updated java and not whitelisted the site or they've upgraded to a new machine and not run through all of the install steps. My problem? I didn't have ActiveClient installed on my Win8 tablet.

DTS is a pain at times to use based on my Organizations additional policies, but yes, there is that little caveat of being able to login to the system first :)

I'm actually supposed to be building GPOs. I figured that the DTS issue would be a quickie. Nope, I can't get in so I cant even begin to troubleshoot my user's issue.

Also, a big hello to Charleston, my hometown!

I like DTS once I can get in - easy to fill out (once you know what you're doing) and super-fast on getting my money to me. The issue right now is being able to log in, period. JAVA and Chrome aren't playing nice with each other, IE is being its usual pain, and Firefox for the moment is the only way I can get to DTS.

Here is a link for the latest "How to" guidance on utilizing DTS.

https://militarycac.com/files/DTS_SMART_BOOK.pdf

Although, it doesn't help with technical issues, it will assist the Soldier in getting DTS done the first time.
