Well the big honking earrings are not allowed, I'm pretty sure the contacts can gtfo and the nose ring should be pulled out. NONE of that is allowed! And while she is at it.. fix your hair!!!!!

Absolute trash. Why is wearing the uniform correctly such a seemingly daunting task? Standards and regulations exist in the military for a reason. If you don't like or agree with them, finish your term and get out. Bottom line.

Absolutely not!! I was in the Army and I followed AR 670-1 to a T. I took a lot of pride in my uniform as well. This is truly unacceptable. Her leaders should put a stop to this quick, fast and a hurry.

whaaaooo. Cowboys and Cowgirls. Though we all know that stuff like this is NOT allowed, please pay attention to detail. Where is she? I believe a car is a good answer. Do we know if she wore it to formation? Who's to say but her SGT. Now.. if we see such items blatantly flaunted in working areas, formation or other professional environments, then we have a case. I don't agree with her putting this on while in uniform, which is obviously what she is doing. In turn violates uniform protocol. Then she should be spoken to about that. Remember, some of us in our younger years pushed the boundaries of uniform professionalism (I know I am guilty). So instead of trying to hang her, I am sure some responsible SNCO will lock her down and explain the complications that come with displaying such unauthorized articles that do not belong with our uniforms. Cause we all know how mod mentality works and have seen it in action against a certain Army CSM who was for sure BLATANTLY pushing to uniform regs!! Some one take care of this young'n!

She may as well have worn it to formation. She took a picture and posted it on social media knowing full well the ramifications.

I don't know her from Tom and Jerry (yes.. the cat and mouse duo) and if she is ballsy enough to wear in formation, then she is going to pay the price! (Hopefully). Outrage is one thing if she is trotting round in the Mall, getting nails done, feeding stray cats.. what ever. Like I mentioned, she posted it on Social Media. Obviously not know what could be come of it. So, given this if I were her NCO I would have a nice sit down counseling giving her her options and explaining why she should NOT do this again. If that doesn't work, then all bets are off.
I had an awesome CPO explain to me why I shouldn't do something again and made if very clear what would happen next. I got the hint, he gave me a chance. I made a choice for the better because of a good mentor and continue what he as taught me, but hey.. You do you.

PO1 (Join to see) - Good points. Maybe she is in her private vehicle going to a reserve weekend. Takes off the bling just before the gate. Should she have it on while in uniform, nope. Yes she should be talked to about it.

It does not matter if she is in formation, at her dorm/house or in her car. At no point does AFI 36-2903 allow this while in uniform. Social media...Put the gun in your mouth and pull the trigger.

TSGT. I used to catch them with puka shells necklaces on. They would leave the work area and on it would go. From a former 1st Shirt.

When I was in back in 85, our Master Chief saw a sailor with an earing and yanked it out of his ear. And of course blood looks cool on dress whites... I don't think I recall anyone wearing earings after that...
