Never.
I don't know about anyone else, but I signed up to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution is incredibly clear about a citizens right to free speech, and I think the most un-American thing I've seen related to this is all of the people that believe he should be punished for it.
Utilizing the rights that men and women have fought, and died, for is not disrespecting their sacrifice. The only way to disrespect their sacrifice, IMO, is to attempt to silence someone else's opinion just because you don't agree with it.

Maj John Bell - I agree with you on this one, the owners have a say on what he says when wearing their uniform, But in this case the Owners have said that it is HIS call and NFL policy seems to say the same.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Understood. I was just reacting to PFC Jim Wheeler assertion that "... having that belief is not an American one." I think I am every bit as American as these protesting players when my response to their protest is "shut up and play ball or I'll take my dollars somewhere else."

I have no problem with h people boycotting whomever they chose to, that is a protected form of speech and MUST be protected. I am also entiled to think they are wrong.
I Only have serious trouble with those that urge that he be thrown out of the country or harmed for exercising his own right to speak. I also think that most if not all to the anger is that what he is talking about makes many folks very uncomfortable.

Maj John Bell - believing that the owner of the team has the ability to punish someone for expressing their opinion and believing that the owner should punish them for it are completely different things.

While I don't agree with their approach, I can't argue against their right. But I'm not boycotting them because of this. I'm boycotting because every damn one of them are overpaid whiney little pissants who think that because they make a ton of money they can do what they want with little to no repercussions.

MSG (Join to see) Alas, if I took this approach I would have to boycott Hollywood and all the winy overpaid actors and actresses as well. I am not giving up my love of football or movies because of someone's attitude.

Why would anyone boycott over this? So many people said there should be peaceful protests rather than riots. What could be more peaceful than silently taking a knee for two minutes? It doesn't disrupte the game or anything, but still brings attention to the issue.
Those who object to such a benign protest really just don't want their bubble popped and want their view of the world to go unchallenged no matter how peaceful the challenge is

LTC (Join to see) - I don't care what their opinion is, left, right, up or down. I don't want my entertainment served up with a heaping helping of someone's political opinion.

LTC (Join to see) - Most of the folks complaining do not want to hear, about it anywhere or anytime. Some people want pPlayers to know their place and stay in it.

Sgt Wayne Wood, I'm not boycotting NFL games, but I dislike the practice (of Colin Kaepernick and others) and I'm not really watching as much as I did in the past.
I think it's absolutely hilarious that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg called it dumb and disrespectful! Here's a link to the article:
