Not sure how many of you know about the "Army Awards" app for the smart phones. I was introduced to the app a few years ago and think it is an awesome tool. You can have numerous people listed on it and select their awards and then when you turn the phone sideways it will display the awards in the proper order (build your rack). Kind of like rackbuilder or those other sites, but this one is saved on your phone.

When I was still a PSG, I had my whole platoon's worth of Soldiers awards on it. It was a quick easy way to make sure that all my Soldiers had all their awards. The app also tells you all the details of each award. tell what it is, when it was established, criteria/criterion to have earned it.

Way too cool. Hey how about we take it to next level with a digital screen for the Class A's so you don't have to keep buying ribbon racks? You can transfer your awards from your phone app to your chest! When you get the award it gets digitally posted to your records in your MPRJ and becomes available through the app. At the awards ceremony, the CDR/CSM WiFis his phone to your screen and the new award magically appears in its proper place.

Technology, baby! Coming soon to a chest near you.

Gotta love the 21st Century Army! Kind of stinks that it doesn't cover the other branches as well.

True, it was an Army CPT that designed it though so I am sure that there is a CPT out there for every branch that is capable of doing it for their branch.

Be capable of doing something is never an issue, being willing is! ;)

LOL While I would say "Yes"; I think with everything else I'm doing within the Veterans' world my time is slim. So sadly, I'm not willing to do it. I don't ever think it's ever a bad thing to say you are unwilling to do something. Sometimes people are busy or don't want to put themselves out there or whatever. What does make me upset is when you are willing but you make excuses.

There's also an app out there called iUniform where Joe Snuffy can build his ASU and see an image of what it should look like, complete with measurements detailing where awards and insignia should go.

A good tool for cutting down on deficiencies during an ASU inspection. I've had my soldiers using it for around a year now.

Already had that app, it's very useful and easy to navigate. I purchased the awards app and have already saved my awards set up. Thanks again!

I’ve used Army Awards for years now as well. I simultaneously enjoy using iUniform to see the entire ASU jacket with all decorations digitally. Still great tools!

SFC Gilley, I have used this app for a while on my iPad. I got a new iPhone and can't find the app in the App Store or anywhere else. Got a lead on it? The app I had was Army produced.

I will have to check Sir, I am not aware of why you wouldn't be able to find it.
