Could be a very well known discount or one given in limited areas. Whatever it may be, list name of store and applicable discount. Don't forget to mention location so others can benefit from it.

SFC Rosenlund, the best discount I received was when I spent a week in New York City over New Year's Eve. I paid only $55 per night for a hotel room in midtown Manhattan! The next cheapest hotels started at $150 per night, or at least that's how much they cost during the week I was there. <div><br></div><div> The hotel is the Soldiers Sailors Marines Coast Guard and Airmen's Club. Lodging is for service members, retirees, veterans and their families. The facilities were lovely and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend staying there. </div><div><br></div><div><font color="#006621" face="arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 14px; white-space: nowrap;">http://ssmaclub.org</span></font></div><div><font color="#006621" face="arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 14px; white-space: nowrap;"><br></span></font></div><div class="pta-link-card"><div class="pta-link-card-picture"><img src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif"></div><div class="pta-link-card-content"><div class="pta-link-card-title"><a target="_blank" href="http://ssmaclub.org">Soldiers', Sailors', Marines', Coast Guard and Airmen's Club | Serving Those Who Serve</a></div><div class="pta-link-card-description">The Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club, since 1919 continues to fulfill its mission, as the only private organization in the New York area to provide accommodations at subsid...</div></div><div style="clear:both"></div><div class="pta-box-hide"><i class="icon-remove"></i></div></div>

The 10% discount at Lowes and Home Depot have saved me thousands of dollars in various home renovations and projects. For example, I built a fence and bought everything at Lowes. I saved over $600 on the purchase of everything. That's pretty significant. Add it up through the years and its been thousands of dollars between each company.
Taco Cabana has a nice 20% discount in San Antonio, which is very nice.
The Houston Zoo lets military and their family enter for free.

You nailed this one Sir! I have saved a ton over the years at Lowes and Home Depot as well. The discount effectively nullifies the sales tax and then some!

CW2 Jonathan Kantor, thanks for the heads up on Taco Cabana! I'm from San Antonio and will be moving back in February... It's one of my FAVORITE restaurants, lol.

Free checked bags on airlines...
Oh yeah, and a free 4 day pass from Disney a couple years back....

I agree with a couple other comments regarding checked bags which is why I love United Airlines. For a normal passenger, they can only have up to two bags, each one weighing no more than 50 pounds. An active duty service-member is allowed up to three bags weighing no more than 70 pounds per bag.
Another one I really like is the 10% discount from Home Depot. I've spent so much money in there over the last several years , it's not even funny. Tonight alone, I bought a new drill and some smaller ancillary parts which cost me just a little under $100 with the discount. Without it, it would have cost me over $100.

The way your identity was verified on this site - via ID.me / Troop ID - is a breakthrough in online discounts for verified members of the military community. They once held a Groupon-like program called TroopSwap that had some great deals for the military.

The best discount I have found was called an Access Pass for any Veteran 50% disabled. It is a lifetime pass free that provides access to all National Parks, BLM areas as well as other for zero charge at any that charge admission. For example, at Mount Rushmore with an Access Pass holder in the car, along with three others the bill just went from $64 to $0.
In North Carolina, at 50% disabled a lifetime hunting/fishing license is $100. Otherwise it would be around $1,200.
At Lowes or Home Depot there is a 10% discount for anyone with a military ID. Imagine building a house at a 10% discount. That is nothing to sneeze at.

Iraq and Afghanistan veterans bungee jump for free (normally $139) with Icarus Bungee on a space available basis. They're based in Alameda, CA, but use 14 different bridges in Northern California.
