It was announced today that the investigation for Sgt. Bergdahl has been concluded. What do you think is going to come out of the review process?

Sir, yes, unfortunately they do. Many do so very blindly. Sadly, there are some who do so on our side too. Ignorance must be bliss. I went today to get my new driver's license and had a decent chat with the lady behind the counter. We were talking about voting and she said she and her husband don't vote, although it's mostly because of him. Apathy? She said it's because their votes don't count. Hmmm. Door just opened for me to do some educating. I explained to her that her vote does count. I won't elaborate much more on here but she understood why voting is important and she said she will this November.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct. Mid-terms will bring out a lot of information that will be close hold until then.

I think nothing will happen.

I think that he will be allowed to "retire" in the near future. Collect near 100% disability and get a book deal that will be turned into a made for TV movie or a feature film.

I would like to see him incarcerated. I hear Ft. Leavenworth is nice this time of year.

Dear 1LT (Join to see).

There will be a report in a drawer and later an archival box full of other reports about some really bad stuff that happened over five years ago. Whether media gets their hands on it . . . and blasts it all over media for ratings . . . not because they care about what happened . . . is just up to another Bradley Manning . . . both of them are the worst traitors who betrayed our deepest trust . . . and by numerous accounts cost way too many of our colleagues lives.

Warmest Regards, Sandy

Of course, and probably nothing will come out of it and those men that died looking for him will get nothing for their sacrifice. It's sad.

It's classified and the public version will be redacted and unreadable! Which means the deserter will walk.

Absolutely SSG John Erny. Worst part of it is that I doubt this piece of trash will get what he deserves.

The article states that the investigation has been completed, but is not being released. My first question is does that mean it's not being released, period, or it's not being released, YET. If it is being held for review PRIOR to release, then I see no issue with it (even though it states the review will likely be lengthy). If it's NOT to be released, then I think that is going to raise even more questions. As to what will happen, hard to say without knowing what was found during the investigation. Once again, we are left with more questions than answers.

I loathe that individual at my deepest core. I was in Afghanistan when it happened and some of my battles came back broken and damaged because of him. I guess I will just leave it at that and hope justice is served in the end.

I think that the fact that is not going to be released will help answer any questions about how fair and complete it is...which is not at all and not at all. If there was any doubt, look at the long list of other witnesses in the investigation or the picture of 'SSG' in his uniform shirt. As least the picture did not include him holding a broom...maybe it should have (?)...as they try to sweep this under the rug.

Agreed MSG Brad Sand I think the fact that it's not going to be released should be a good indicator to everyone that something isn't right. Maybe public pressure would change things but I doubt it.

There is not a chance in hell that this guy gets prosecuted. It would be too close to admitting a mistake.
Future quote: "we have investigated the facts of the matter, and we are implementing processes to prevent future occurances... Hey look! Ebola!"

Look, this has already been investigated, and a finding of desertion was made. The only thing new is whatever story he had to tell. While I am curious to hear what he has to say, if he has any sense whatsoever, he will shut up and fade into obscurity, soaking up benefits and whiling away his days in disgrace.

Yes, and let's not forget the President's "Rose-Garden" speech flanked by BB's parents. The only thing missing was the "customary greeting", bowel and double cheek kiss; then again that probably happened without the cameras rolling.

Nothing
Principal thoughts: Deny Everything, Admit Nothing, Demand Proof, Make Counter-Accusations BAHAHAHA

I only hope that there is review and then there is transparency. This case matters, to many, many people.
