Ill be starting my class date for a re-class on the 6th of May, but i haven't gotten any information of what i need to bring with me to the school, ie. CIF gear (Though im guessing all of it is going to come with me) or just anything i should know in general on a reclass from 12B. I did get informed that i would receive a welcome letter from the school, but as of now i haven't gotten it yet, and i would like to be as prepared as possible. Any info is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Hey welcome to the most interesting MOS in the medical corps! You’re going to learn a lot of great information and the current instructors there are phenomenal at what they do. It’s joint effort because you will spend the first 8 weeks with the navy and army with possible partner nations. We had a SGM from the Netherlands. It is fast pace with a lot of terminology prepare to study. You will be at prior service barracks and will have to pull 2 hr duty on different days during the week and possible 4 hr during the weekend. Be prepared for the hottest time of the year to be down there as well

Oh...and be prepared to experience FT Sam summer humidity. I've been to a lot of different locations (to include FLW for 12B training), in a lot of different seasons, and summers at FT Sam are some of the most grueling, most humid filled summers I have ever experienced.

Unless some things have changed since I reclassed to 68S class, you will need a bare minimum of CIF. When I went thru, all I needed was ACH, LBV, Canteens with cover, Ruck, Cambelback, IFAK, gloves, safety glasses. And this was mainly for FTX at the end of the course.
As a reclass, you will be housed separately from the IETs. You will be expected to form up with the Company for PRT. You will attend POI classes with the IETs but will be expected to not associate with them outside of POI time. You will more than likely have a lot more freedoms when it comes to the weekends and what not. If there are any other questions, please let me know...whether thru PM here on RP or thru Enterprise: [login to see]
