Can anyone tell me how to go about applying to the 442nd as an infantry reserves officer?

If I could get any insight at all, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Do you live in Samoa or Guam? Or Hawaii? That's where the units of the 442nd Infantry are located. If you're going to be an effective leader you need to be near! Good Luck

For reserves, your orders will come from HRC. You can communicate with people up the chain of command there and see what works

One of my former bosses is/was their Battalion Commander. If you don't live in Hawaii or American Samoa, don't even think about joining as a junior officer- you will eat up all your drill pay to pay for your travel to and from your home.
Yes, the Army Reserve provides $500 now for IDT Travel, but it can take a couple months to get going with the program + it is not an entitlement. If they run out of money you will not get paid. Also it might be months before you get paid even if you put in your IDT Travel voucher each month.
If you are independently wealthy or work for an airline where you can get transportation for free then you may just be able to do it. But it's your career in the end- do your best!
