Can command staff send soldiers home from battle assembly with an unsat/no pay, if they are on a red status on medpros?

Soldiers have a responsibility to monitor their medical readiness. It is very easy to do, as it is posted right there on the AKO homepage. Furthermore, it is their responsibility to contact LHI and get an appointment scheduled, as well as to do the on-line PHA.
I have been in 4 commands during my time in the Reserves. In each one, it has been a directive that soldiers take care of this. I lost count of how many formations and leadership huddles where a list of yellow and red Soldiers have been disseminated to the unit or unit leaders. It is absolutely within the purview of a commander to "U" a Soldier that has been non-compliant.
Having said that, if a soldier told me that he/she made an appointment and showed me that the PHA was completed. I would be more likely to vouch for that Soldier.
I am about 95% sure that the Brigade Medical NCO has ways to track LHI appointments. It would not take much more then a phone call to confirm that a Soldier has a pending appointment. (And that should not count against you, in my opinion, when you fall red while waiting for the clinic visit.)

SGM Erik Marquez - agree that's where the unit Senior medical nco comes in, they have access to medpros, and should be updating the commander as well as monitoring their sm's to ensure they aren't red, scheduling SRP's and ensuring the info is updated, but I can say as a reservist if I have a TA-50 inspection and you show up without it and you were properly notified by the plt/ squad sgt then you will go home and will not get paid, medical readiness is the same, the information needs to get out, and if there is a question it needs to be answered, just because reserve service is one weekend a month 2 weeks a year nco's and sm's need to learn its still 24/7/365, and yes medpros is seriously lacking, I spent one year training for Afghanistan, as a 38b, was made p3 for a med change, it took me 30 days to have it reversed because the medical provider didn't know the regs and by that time it was too late

Except I've seen that even if the SM's not at fault, they'll be held responsible. We're an Army Reserve of metrics above all else.

This would infuriate me! Get your damn flu shot!!!
The worst offenders are the health nuts who say they don't want a flu shot and you can't make me. Most often they would be officers too thinking they could skate the requirement.
We started bussing folks to Walgreens to get them at Battle Assembly.
And don't get me started on MEDPROS... Some medical weenie gets a wild hair across his ass that now we need hepatitis shots without taking into account we're gonna be red until we get several follow up shots. Who they heck thinks up this crap! Besides getting LHI to actually update a record. ugh... I'm glad I'm retired.

Apathy on the SM's part is infuriating and unacceptable.
But so is the "SYSTEM" called MEDPROS that is rife with inaccuracies or other issues be is the data itself, or the "planning and limited unit resources" that is not considered when a new or changing MEDPORS requirement is dreamed up.

The whole MEDPROS system sucks. I get a flight phys every year which includes vision, but my vision readiness is red. It also says my immunization profile is red because of the polio vaccine. I'm 37 years old. I'm pretty sure I got one of those back in like 1981...

Yes, and it is being done currently. It is every Soldiers respobsibility to maintain their medical and dental readiness. Failure to do so is considered unsatisfactory performance of their assigned duties which earns the Soldier a U for each UTA that they remain non-compliant.

Not only can they do that but at one active duty base where i was stationed, appearance of some Reservist were so bad that the Active duty Base Commander issued the order that any member written up by the Security Police for uniform Violations had not completed His training requirements and would not be paid. Many on the active duty side were upset as people see them they don't know they aren't active duty but they were wearing Air Force uniforms and that was an embarrassment to all of us including the Reservist who had a proper military appearance. The first weekend that was done 75 were written including a Full Colonel that had lamb chop sideburns. None of them were paid and appearance improved a lot and that was never needed again.
