Just looking for different opinions on the crossfit craze, I personally don't agree with it but I'm open to other opinions for respectful debate.

I don't do circuit-training. However, I like the workouts. The issue is when some focus on completing reps over learning proper form, try to do WODs daily, ans assume they're okay to do it because [random guy/gay that's been training a good while] does it, or so they think.

I like explosive cardiovascular workouts but I don't like crossfit. I think there are a lot of injuries due to unnecessary/extreme play.

My only issue with it is that they are using Olympic style exercise like dead lift, squat, clean jerk which are very technical lift that if done either without a spot or without proper form will really end any fitness goals you have and they encourage people to do these things fast which really just isn't safe

SSgt Paul Esquibel - Yes, the risks of participating in a CrossFit program are undeniable, ranging from soreness to a catastrophic injury that permanently reduces physical capacity. Risk is inherent in every sport, the likelihood of injury due to improper body position during the events you listed is probable. I don't participate in crossfit because I observed a lack of structure and guidance.
