A pool party quickly turned chaotic Friday in Mckinney, Texas when police arrived to the scene and began to chase, handcuff, berate and unnecessarily body slam adolescent girls for not obeying their every command.
The video begins showing a group of young teens dispersing a pool area to the sound of one hyped-up Mckinney officer yelling “MOVE, MOVE” while sprinting down a sidewalk with a baton – only to trip and fall down as he made his way past the videographer.
After getting back to his feet, the Texas cop continued sprinting across the street where he began forcing witnesses to the ground, even handcuffing a few bystanders.

“Get your ass out of here!” the officer yelled and a group of girls pulling a cooler.
After detaining a few more teens, the cop decided to give them a piece of his mind, probably upset and embarrassed that they had seen him trip on his own two feet.

“Don’t make me fucking run around here with 30 pounds of god damned gear on in the sun. Cuz’ you want to screw around out here?”
The cop quickly moves on to a group of teens huddled near the scene and took offense to them for allegedly running their mouths and demanded that they leave right away which they begrudgingly complied. The cop then went further down the sidewalk to shout at another group of kids but this time grabbed a young girl in a bikini and drug her by the arm and eventually slammed her to the pavement.

Bystanders were immediately upset by the cop taking such a violent approach to a situation and started to move in and help the girl. At that point, the cop draws what appears to be his service pistol as the bright yellow taser can be seen still attached to his belt and chases away the crowd. Luckily two other officers arrive to the scene at that very moment which may have prevented a very bad situation.

Should it investigated, yes. Do I have an opinion without all the facts, no.

From what I have read, the girl in the picture, the black girl with the yellow bikini was attempting to leave, but the cop wasn't patient enough to give her a chance.

LCpl Mark Lefler, while was trying to leave she was popping off to the officer. That probably pissed him off and it escalated from there. She's fourteen for goodness sake. Most fourteen year olds don't have respect for authority nowadays. He was wrong, but so was she.

but he is an adult, she's blatantly a minor, while they might both be wrong, he was more wrong for not having patience. I still respect law enforcement and for what they go through, but it seems they have lacked a lot of patience and self restraint as of late. I don't want to have to fear them, but it feels like one has to.

FYI - she is reported as the one who assaulted the "white" woman in front of her 3 small children.

And now because it turns out she is a minor and black there are several groups of a certain political leaning that are petitioning her employer (BoA) to fire her for being a racist and "assaulting" a minor.

Whether or not the Officer was wrong probably doesn't matter at this point. He failed to realize that in this day and age, everyone has the ability to shoot and upload a video.

You think these police forces would be hyper aware that this is a reality. I work for the Taxpayers and I treat every issue professionally, and remind myself that I don't want my Momma seeing me do something stupid on the local news.

SGT John Wesley, I don't know how long he has been on the force but, I would think ,not very long or something like this would have already happened. Also, I don't know if he's prejudice or not. I would hope not of course. It'll all come out in the wash, as we say here in Texas. Lol

SGT John Wesley, I'm wrong Sir. He was the supervisor on scene. He needs to be checked by a doctor to see if he's under too much stress. IMHO

I can't form my opinion like every arm chair quarter back on Facebook who speak if this incident as if they have conducted a fool and thorough investigation. I will tell you this though, many of us know what its like to be in the middle of a crowd who will not listen.

SSG (ret) William Martin , yes I have been in an unruly crowd when, in 1967, I was sent by the 101st to Detroit, Mich.for the riots. Only there, it wasn't a pool party with a bunch of kids. We drove around the hot areas trying to draw sniper fire. One night we did. We chased down the kids and turned them over to the police. We were professional and as nice as we could be. They were teenagers. It was a starter pistol. The cops stopped, took all three out, and went into an alley and they shot all three kids in the backs. If you go to Detroit riots, you'll see three teenagers where the cops say were killed during a gunfight at a motel. This has haunted me for years. Anyway,in response to your reply, the crazy cop didn't need to throw that little girl down like he did, and put his knee on her neck. What if it was your daughter? You might be a little more sensitive than you seem about this.

1SG (Join to see), I never have. Five or six years ago I was thinking about it as I always do. I decided to try to rectify it. I called the District Attorney's office in Detroit, they weren't interested. I called the FBI, they weren't interested. I called the NAACP, The black alliance or whatever it's called. I called everyone I could think of to get this off my chest and get something done about. I told my PTSD therapy group about it. There are quite a few blacks in it. They told to let it go. They said it's been too long and most of them are dead by now. Plus, it was only my word. Our PL went with cops and was there while they killed those kids. He came back to our jeep and told us, we didn't hear nothing, we didn't see nothing, and to keep Fn mouths shut. I was 21. Hadn't been back from Nam but a couple weeks. I was assigned to the 101st, and was placed with the 187th. We did riot control for a week before we went. All of us em' were fresh back from Nam. Every time I hear about a riot I think about those kids, and there's nothing I can do. It haunts me terribly and is part of my mental health problems. PTSD, depression, anxiety and so on. I'll have to take it to my grave. I know I won't see those cops because they're in hell, but I will see those boys and tell them I'm sorry.

When the officer physically abused the girl then sat on her I was wish I were there so I could have kicked in his skull. I bet his fellow officers at the scene were all kinds of embarassed.

I am glad he had chosen to resign. Now the McKinney police department should charge him with child abuse

Excessive force? I think so. The girl was no immediate threat..but I don't know the full story.

Yes he went too far. I think the problem in most growing population areas is that it lacks community-led policing. While I trust most cops as a law abiding citizen, we can slice the pie how we choose to but none of us can say trust is growing either.

Not even getting to the meat of the story, the combat role was way, WAY over the top!!
