I drowned my truck on Ft. Benning...was read my rights and was so afraid of not being able to stay in my career field (had an NCO tell me I was going to be 'let go' - he thought it was funny...I didn't at the time). Nothing came of it though as I actually had not listened to my NCO that was in the truck and took the 'creek' at about 8 mph and not the 40 mph that had been suggested. Just dipped the right way enough to flood the air intake...

I had to go to a Captain's Mast for passing out and getting a bad sun burn. This was in 1967, and it was for destroying Government Property.

My Recruiter, AE1 Roger Wyman, told me EVERY "good" Sailor gets at least one Captain's Masts (Navy for Article 15). I guess I just wasn't a good Sailor, almost twenty-three years and never had a Captain's Mast. Should've I? Probably, there were definitely a couple of times I might, maybe, have been just a little bit insubordinate. Later in my career, I did have to take a few Sailors to Mast, a task I did not care for at all as all but one of the Sailors was really a good person. The good news was, the good ones all went on to successfully finish their tours albeit in different rates.

Got one in 1993, was working several c-130 engines by my self with cold wet weather at Pope AFB. Had gotten back for emergency leave the month before after my dad had passed away. I was the only 7 level available and was told that I couldn’t be put on quarters with a bad case of the flue. One of the propellers I had inspected for a after an afterbody removel. I sighed off the aircraft forms and didn’t realize I had signed off the wrong engine. 2 days later the aircraft was flying and the aircrew noticed one of the afterbodies was lifting up. They circled around and landed then parked the aircraft. Instead of just shutting down the engine, they had feathered the prop. The afterbody lifted up and hit the propeller causing severe damage. I ended up with an article 15, was denied having it dropped without a court martial. Was fined a hefty amount that was supposed to be taken out in 4 months but it was all taken out at once. When I retired in 2004, l looked through my records and could not find it. I checked around and found out the one of my commanders at Dyess AFB had it removed.

Got my one and only in Germany back in 1989. Conn Barrack in the Lower Cavern Club. Some dude was talking crap about my unit, after a few drinks I had enough and punched in the face. Turned out he was a 2LT, I was a PFC. Needless to say I lucked out big, my CO gave me the AR15, I did 15 days extra duty and restricted to the barracks as my punishment. My 1SG acted mad during the issuing of it, after I walked out, Top said he was proud of me but dont ever do it again.

Had a new Sgt (E-5) trying to make a name for himself. Recommend an Article 15 for a SPC giving a beer to a PV2 (in the barracks) at 23:55 hrs. PV2 was turning 21 at midnight.

Got general court marshal for shooting a 22 on duty to pass the time on guard duty. Plus I asked my son for permission. Turns our gun misfires I tried to clear and shot my dumb ass in the hand. So I’m gonna take my punishment like a marine LCPL I was and was not gonna rat out my SGT. well on night before quartmarshal im talking to my capt who was reping me in the morning he goes into the head well guess who decides to come in my room on duty and armed. Yup the SOG. Capt heard him cock his 1911 and threaten to blow my head off if I threw him under the bus. He leaves my room and the capt proceeds to get MPs Next day I’m receiving a page 11 entry for being a dumb ass and went to SGT special quartmarshall which he was demoted to pvt etc. next day I see him sweeping he says in my ear thanks for everything. What you brought this on yourself. MF

Haha! I got one. I was at a party with friends and made friends with a dependapotomos. One thing led to the other, and naturally it ended in my house off post. Being a young recently separated soldier I had naturally become obsessed with firearms and had aquired quit a collection. She was impressed and decided she was feeling kinky. She wanted me to insert a Glock into her "three points of contact" if you gety drift. Being young dumb and full of cum I cleared the weapon and pulled out my phone to record.
Fast forward a few weeks. I had shown the video to a few friends in the platoon. Well my Sgt calls me to the office. "DID YOU STICK A WEAPON IN A GIRLS ASSS!?!?!?" Me trying to resist laughing was all the evidence he needed. Company grade article 15. And what was my corrective punishment. I had to give "weapon safety briefs" to my squad for a week. I was on top of the world! My wife and friends all laugh about it now and call her "Gun bunny" and I haven't won a game of Never Have I Ever since

Came in off a convoy. 2nd LT decided it would be a good idea to make us clean and service weapons before chow after a 2 day convoy eating only MRE's which is fine on a convoy. He then proceeded to tell me we could eat MRE's while we clean weapons while knife handing me. That's when I backhanded him. The knife hand was all I could take.

I didn't get an Article 15 or received any kind of punishment, but I should have gotten court martialed for going AWOL during an FTX.
By now, everbody involved has left the Army, it was Winter 1989 in Germany. We went on an FTX with our vehicles on a wooded area, not far from base. It had been snowing and then got a bit warmer, so the snow turned to slush. The vehicles were grounded, chain of command kept us busy with land navigation and dry firing training. The local commies blocked the street on a nearby town, so we could no longer move our tracked vehicles.
I told the Platoon Sergeant, we should rotate the troops to the barracks to get hot chow and a shower, he ignored me. It was already Friday and I found out, all the officers got shuttled back to the barracks and went to a party the night before, so only the enlisted were still on the field. I told the Platoon Sergeant again and gave him a rotation plan, we had enough fuel and wheeled vehicles to make it happen. Instead, the track crews were loaded on HMMWV's and instructed to train E&E. anyone getting caught, would be brought back to the edge of the training area and would have to start the exercise all over again. We were told to stay hidden and had until 05:00 hrs on Sunday to reach our destination, it was Friday 07:00 hrs when we were sent out. The tracks were locked up and we had all our weapons, including an M-60, with blanks ammo.
I was TC and told my squad, that I didn't feel like playing E&E at such a blue falcon level, so I led them to a farm house and paid the farmer 10.00 DM to drive us to the train station. We went to my girlfriend's house, using public transportation. We all got a shower, went out to eat and agreed to meet again on Sunday at 03:00 hrs. The girldfriend of one our crew, gave us a ride back to the FTX area and we marched into the AO at 04:30 hrs.
While we were gone, the Platoon Sergeant had changed the rules and had called everbody in, we did not responded and he panicked. He called the CO and apparently the whole battalion was out looking for us. I told the CO and everbody that questioned me, that we saw everbody looking for us and that was exactly what our Paltoon Sergeant had told us would happen, the goal was to remain hidden and not to get caught. I showed the CO my training plan and had fabricated a series of log entries, including the call-signs used and passwords. I told the CO, that my crew was following my orders and that if he felt I had done anything wrong, then I should get punished, but my crew should not. The CO was really angry and just said "SGT Kingsbury, it's not over..."
I never was punished, the men on my crew never said a word and everbody sticked to my fabricated story. So, we went AWAOL while training for E&E, we really escaped and evaded. What got me angry at myself, is that I did not want to rob the whole battalion from well deserved sleep. But I could not tell the truth, because that would have landed my crew in jail, so I live with the guilt to this day and have had to buy many whisky and tequilas for the brothers that spent a couple of hours looking for me. Back in 1989 I thought it was a good idea to take off, shower, eat and get laid, now I know how stupid it was and know all the laws I broke, going AWOL being just one. Transporting weapons in a POV, using public transportation in a foreign country, etc. I think the CO did not want to burn me, because he just did not wanted to put me in jail. But I know he was not fooled by my lies, he just did us all a favor. I also did him a favor and left the Army six months later.
