Seeing the SPC get a Company Grade for jumping with his fish is pretty high on the "awesome reason for an Article 15" list.... so what's you story?

I never had a Article 15, but had a buddy in Germany that got busted for being stupid. He noticed fuel leaking from one of the vehicles in the motor pool, so instead of letting it just leak on the ground he got a container and collected the fuel. That was OK, but then he had the dilemma of what to do with the fuel he collected? It would have been ok except he put it in his car’s fuel tank and was observed doing that so was busted to Spec 4. For the rest of his tour. He was a good guy but made a stupid decision.

I'm not going to go into details, but......
Bipolar female E7 (no deployments), myself E5 (2 deployments by this time), alleged assault with intent to murder, and facing AR15...
OR go to mental health and get checked for PTSD.

The AR15 paperwork has never been found to this day (15+ years ago), and the VA gives me medicine to help ME control my anger.

Spent 16 and a half years on active-duty. Never got an Article 15 UNTIL about 30 days from being forced off of it! I'd made the promotion list and I was fighting the back and forth over "you can't get promoted until you re-enlist" and "you can't re-enlist until you get promoted." I fought like it was my last stand the whole way! Then my commander blindsided me after an FTX with an Article 15 for missing movement. The DIVARTY commander, HIS BOSS, called EVERYONE under DIVARTY a three-day weekend after recovery from the FTX. So when I showed up for first formation Tuseday morning, my 1SG had me fall out of formation and standby to go see the battery commander. He read me and I was thinking, "WTF is going on HERE?!?" That destroyed any chance I had left of salvaging my chances to re-up and get promoted. So now, I have to struggle financially until I can get my retirement pension at 60!

SSG Carlos Madden - Agreed. They were out to end me, anyway. Been like that nearly my whole career.

I was stationed at Ft Carson in 1967 and got my Article 15 for exceeding the speed limit on post. 25 mph in a 20 limit zone.
The MP’s wouldn’t cut me a break.
What BS!

As any good Seabee will tell you it's almost expected that you get at least one of these during your career. I was no different and as expected alcohol was involved.
So being a freshly pinned UT3 on Andros and bored as all hell I decided to go to one of the 3 watering holes. Much to my surprise and good luck I found that a fresh batch of visiting family had arrived on base.
I, being young and single, did what any good Seabee would do. Spent my entire paycheck in the bar flirting with one off the civilian employees sisters. For once someone fell for my crap (in her defense she had consumed much of the paycheck in vodka) And we decided to retire to my room to cap off the night.
Now I have to say. All of that was on a Wed. night and of course the next morning was muster and inspection day, which of course I did not make it too. So when Chief unlocked my room to see why I was UA and to inspect my room he was greeted with myself and a nice young lady still passed out in bed. Needless to say he was not pleased. So when they shut the door and continued to beat on it until I woke up they were none to gentle about it.
I was put on a jackhammer breaking up coral for the day, and was put up for Captains Mast when my DET returned to mainbody in homeport.
As I was standing in front of the Captain I gave my chief full credit for telling the CO that he had put me on a jackhammer all day and mentioning that the young lady was rather pretty. LOL. Alas none of that helped and I got busted down and got 45/45.
I did get a wife out of the whole ordeal though so I am pretty sure I cam eout on top.

I almost got one once. I was drinking on duty. I had a job where I had a Dod guard and worked 24 on 2 days off. I had 1 year of minimal military bearing or anyone who would visit me. So I day I decide to drink a 40oz at the PX and drive back to my job. I passed out in my cot and woke up 2 hours later with a Ranger full bird kicking me off my cot. I rolled on the 40oz and cut up my arm good. The col bandaged me up. He said you have 2 choices. Field grade article 15 or do what I want for the weekend. A week later my commander asked why I was tasked to the 3rd ranger bat for a weekend and that it was a weird request. Anyway. The Full bird picked me up and told my commander I was going to help at the range since they were short handed and needed a class on Ammo. The col dropped me off and told me to roadmarch 25 miles. When I got done I had to wear class As and play on the mud for 4 hours. Then I did the running man all day. My last day I did police call in the middle of nowhere and do lots of PT. When I was done late Sunday night. The col told me he believes in old school punishment and hopes I pass it down. That was a long weekend. Lol

I had 3 article 15's while serving on active duty. The first I received in AIT for fighting in the chow hall bathroom. I was a 14s at Ft. Bliss, the barracks and PTLs were mixed with different classes. So you could be a brand new arrival, but would interact with guys who had been there for 10 weeks or longer. We had been there about 3 days when we were marching to Chow and I felt someone step on the back of my shoe. I turn around and saw that it was this phrase 3 soldier trying to fuck with me because I was new. He stepped on my heal a second time and I turned and told him not to do it again, but of course he did. I'm a man of my word so I told him once we got in the chow hall he's better watch his back. I went to the latrine and he came in behind me with his friend. They cornered me, so I did what I know and fight mode kicked in! I proceeded to punch him, whole the other guy tried to hold me back and in the process I got hit in the nose. My entire life if I got hit in the nose it's a waterfall. So there was no hiding it. Right about then, the 1st Sgt came walking in the bathroom and I'm standing there covered in blood. Now Top had just told us in Mass formation that the next time someone got in a fight, he was calling the MPs, we were the first. They took us to the hospital and then to the MP station. Anyway, I felt like I had lost because I had been jumped, but when we reported to the senior Drill that evening, I was first to arrive and he was asking me about who won the fight, I told him me because it was two on one. Right about that time, the other guy walked in and his entire face was swollen, black and blue! The drill looked at me and said, "damn private, I thought you said you lost!" The entire time I was at the MPs, I thought I lost and everyone would think I was weak, but it was the opposite, I became sort of a hero to the new soldiers and the story lasted the rest of my time there. I received a summarize A15, and remember telling my PLT Drill Sgt that I'd be his squad leader by the time I graduated. The day after I got out of trouble which was for some reason about 3 weeks in which 7 days we spent on extra duty, I was made squad leader. Like I said, I keep my word. I think that A15 was worth it in the end.
