First time I ever heard of it, but then I served with the ARNG, doubt if I would qualify to receive one, 24 yrs. of service with the Guard in Michigan.

I see by LTC Curlee's post this program started in 2005. My last time in uniform was in July 1986. Last day of active duty May 31, 1975.

Never heard of it until just now, SPC Margaret Higgins, so obviously, I never received one. SFC Michael Hasbun seems to think the program started in 2005, and by then I was already assigned to the Retired Reserve.

I was an Ambassador For the program. I received one from the American Legion and joined. Gave out over 1,000 . Had Children from local school send Christmas Cards to Men and women serving over seas. It was a great program. I am Honored to have been a part of it.

Yes, I received one. I framed it. The certificate is leaning against my studio wall.
