I do. I used it when I was on active duty to train my company and I assisted when units needed people for the clinch drill for level 1 certs. I also have used it on the civilian side in my jiujitsu journey. Many of the techniques are quite similar.

I used it mostly in competition, but I didn't get to do much training at the Company level just because the logistics of the training schedule and other duties (I had a lot of other duties that they wanted to utilize more like EO, UPL, etc...). Mostly, I found that when I tried one-on-one with Soldiers going forward to a board, they quickly forgot the techniques. Practice, practice and more practice.

Yes I have I've helped with events, taught trips in my unit and am ready to go to level 3 but being overseas is harder to get a class.

I enjoy combatives it's good exercise and I learn more technical moves and pass on what I learn. Plus the Army's combatives community is small and even smaller once at level 3 and 4.

I remember being told by a Level 4 that once you do a few competitions, you start to see the same people constantly.

I definitely utilized my level 2 certification. I used it to train level 1 even though I couldn't certify. I had a level 3 do the clench drills with me to certify. Also volunteered every chance I could for clench drills and helping the instructors with other level 2 courses. My only regret is ETSing before I got my level 3.

I wanted level 3 so I could teach and certify. And possibly get my own fight house started on the aviation side. There was a fight house on the main post, but it was smaller and if a class was going on there wasn't an abundance of time to self train or spar with a partner. The CAB had put in a crossfit gym, and had several other available buildings that could've been utilized.
