Do Congress, the US Executive Branch, and the US Military members have to follow their Oath of Office, as they pledged?

Socialism is antithetical to the US Constitution... as is illegal immigration and other issues we find in today's Washington news. In the Oath of Office, it states, and more, "I ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same...".
Should Officers in the US Military, Congressional Members, OR those in the Executive Branch of our Government resign from their positions if they accede to the ideals of Communism or Socialism? Should they be relieved of command? AND... as we seen in the current Admin in Washington, do WE, the PEOPLE have recourse to remove those that are clear Socialists and Communists? In the USA, you DO have freedom of speech... but when you take an Oath of Office and openly betray that Oath, what are WE as Citizens to do?

It seems that most oaths are symbolic. You cannot be prosecuted for violating your oath of office, but can be prosecuted for lying under oath. The only penalty, it seems, for violating an oath of office is failure to be reelected. (Forgive me while I fall to the floor laughing. How many have suffered that fate?)

CPT Jack Durish - thanks for playing Capt Obvious. You should really read the initial thread before you come on and show the world you're not educated and a total moron.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - no, seriously... you ACTUALLY believe that's an accomplishment? The majority of the US was shut down... these aren't "new" jobs, they're the jobs shut down due to the pandemic. You just applauded the arsonist for building a smaller home back that he just burnt down! You're a MSGT???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... I don't believe so.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi - I also call the Huffpost a shit source. I demand accuracy and verification. Has nothing to do with it confirming a political bias.

Most of what is tossed out in the news is grossly incorrect about socialism, communism and even capitalism. Im not here to get into a debate about the finer points of any of those, but as a member of the US Military dont get drawn into catch phrases and political drama. Our enemies actively create fictional problems for us to fight each other over.

SGT Nickolas Ortiz - "There is no room for not paying attention to "catch phrases and political drama"... you must be informed with what is going on." Catch phrases are unfortunately a short circuit that needs to be fixed by citing sources and getting specific. The spirit of what you are saying I agree with, but I believe you are factually incorrect in the content for the events you are talking about.

SPC Paul Shene III - " but I believe you are factually incorrect in the content for the events you are talking about..." OK... defend your point. "Catch phrases" are the starting point of a topic... it's up to the individual to deduce it's validity, not the Media, not the Government...

SGT Nickolas Ortiz - now you are attempting to shift the burden of proof. I made no claim, I simply disbelieved your claim. You have the burden of proof, meaning cite sources, put forth evidence.
