Sharia law in america
I want to know whether anyone believes that Islam in America demanding Sharia Law will work in America with our Constitution and Bill of Rights. With the growing Muslim population (both legally and illegally) and all of the special treatment they get regarding their religion as compared to any other in America are you worried about whether our Constitution will survive?

My answer is not unique to Sharia Law. I don't believe that any law based solely on religious grounds is compatible with the Constitution or the basic principles of this country.

And honestly I don't know what all the fuss is about. Does anyone seriously expect to see the US operating under Sharia law in our lifetimes? Personally, I'm more concerned with the prospect of being subjected to laws based on Christianity.

SFC (Join to see) first off, our country was based on Christian principles by men of Christian faith (as can be proven by reviewing the bibliography of our Founding Fathers) as can be seen by the reference to God in our Declaration of Independence and Constition. Also, our law was and is based on the 10 Commandments. Ever wonder why we swear on a BIBLE to tell the truth? All the clues are there there if you just keep an open mind and have a strong desire to seek the truth!

Our country was founded on principles of freedom, including freedom of religion. The Founding Fathers even thought to include that as part of the Bill of Rights. And the early American government even signed the Treaty of Tripoli. Here is an excerpt:

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"

And in what way are our laws founded on the 10 Commandments? Do I go to jail if I take the Lord's name in vain? Am I bound by law to honor my parents? Or are you referring to things like thou shalt not kill, which isn't really unique to the 10 Commandments. Murder tends to be frowned upon in pretty much every society.

First off, nice name!

Second off: It has nothing to do with belief, like oil and water.

It cannot since Sharia law is based on a theocracy, not a democracy which the constitution is. You can't vote up or down elements of the Koran or add to it

I'm not sure what your point is sir. You can't vote up or down elements of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc., either, but we allow them in the U.S.

No I don't believe Sharia law should not used or even recognized by any Court in the US (this includes, Federal, State, Local or even by Native American on reservations). As said before the Muslim us the Sharia law to say they don't to comply with any law except there's.

No, they are in no way compatible. There have been many in America who would love to see her demise, and many have made a concerted effort to do just that. I believe that they will see this as an opportunity to further that cause. They don't seem to be able to see far enough in to the future of what a US under Sharia Law would look like exactly, even though there are numerous examples around the World to use for a glimpse.

I don't think, I pray, it would never come to that here. We do have a majority in America who would not stand for that. Right now, that majority is very silent but I fear the day they scream out in opposition to this. I feel that if that day were to come, we would see another version of the revolutionary war. And I hate the idea of having to try to overthrow the government of the US, there would be no victors.

CW4 (Join to see) Right now, in courts all across America, we are being forced to deal with Sharia Law in the marriage, divorce and property disputes of Muslim Americans who prefer Sharia Law to American Law. Currently their are numerous states enacting laws to ensure no law but American law gets practiced on American soil and that the Constitution remains the supreme law of the land!

Oh really?

What courts are those? Do you have specific examples we can look at or is this just propaganda that you've heard?

I am aware of that, my surprise to this question stems from it being asked to a military community sworn to defend the Constitution. So I would be very surprised if anyone was in favor of it.

not so far @SSG Tim Everett although I have gotten some surprising remarks from fellow patriots about how close and decent their Muslim friends and allies were. If only they could study the Quran and the aHadiths that tell all Muslims to wage jihad and to lie to infidels......

So if all Muslims are waging jihad and lying to infidels... the classic "A + B = C", then by that logic, all Christians hate gays, protest at military funerals, and all Catholics are pro-paedophilia.

Oh, wait.

SSG Tim Everett while I am against the homosexual lifestyle because of my faith I do not hate anyone. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. I am just repeating verses I read and quoted from the Quran and am also sharing some other information I obtained (with the help of some former Muslims) from the ahadiths. Please do not shoot the messenger!

Respectfully,

Steve

So what you're telling me is that not all Christians are like the Westboro Baptist Church a-holes, and not all Catholics like to molest little boys? So then, A + B does not always equal C?

THIS IS A REVELATION!

Surely by that logic, we can safely presume that not all Muslims are lying to infidels and not all Muslims will wage jihad! OH MY GOD, STEVEN. THIS IS A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH.

Do you see how utterly insane, idiotic, and ridiculous it is to make a presumption that all Muslims are lying jihadis?

Besides. As one of the largest religions on the planet, with what... 1.6, 1.7 billion? If every one of them practiced jihad, I think you and I would probably be dead, and there'd be a much higher bodycount and rampant violence.

I just did a Google search in reference to Sharia law in the U.S. and many U.S. judges have already been throwing out cases or ruling against Sharia law involving either a business deal or something to do with family. So individuals who believe they fall under Sharia law are finding out in court in the U.S. that Sharia law doesn't amount to squat when it violates already established laws of the land.

SSG (ret) William Martin go to a site called bansharialaw.com and you will be surprised how often it is creeping into our courtrooms. Remember which Internet media feeds you what you want to hear, as not all searches answer your questions honestly!
