If the post warrants a response from you, doesn’t it also deserve your vote?

Agreed. For me it is the other way around. I vote on things that I have read that resonated with me but I only post a comment if I have something I feel especially lead to do so.

I'm not super attached to votes or points but I know others are. I normally thumbs up things I agree with or find funny. I only thumb things down of I'm thumbed down first as that seems like a personal attack. Everything else I don't do either but might comment. I don't really see them as related.

Having said that, I try not to be stingy with the thumbs up as it doesn't cost me anything.

I find myself commenting on RP posts that have some similarities or past experiences to mine in the Military, time frame,AO,Service branch etc so all deserve a vote in my estimation, if the member takes the time to post,I feel they should be acknowledged.

CSM Charles Hayden- Honesty and manners were taught back in the day my friend something sorely lacking in today’s” Me Generation “,I do appreciate you calling me “old school “I’ll wear that moniker as a badge of honor coming from one who I consider one of the professionals I’m grateful to know,be well Brother.
