ALL New Connections - Back by Popular Demand! I'm still receiving some great photos from all you RP Members. THANKS!
Keep them coming!
All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

Oh, come on guys!!! I was digging around and found my "official" boot camp picture in Dress Blues, but I found one even earlier. In my Platoon Book I found a picture that they took probably 10 days into training. We were doing bayonet training and I was dweebed out. I had a cover that was pulled over my ears and I was smelling like foot and ass because, in addition to the training I had already been "quarterdecked" twice that morning. It wasn't until 3 months later that I became the good looking, suave Devil Dog that I am today.

Actually it's a training M16 for a field exercise during basic I guess they didn't trust with the real thing yet.

I did basic in Nov, 69. I guess things really have changed because we had the real thing. The Air Force has training rifle, i did not know the Army used them! Thanks for posting.
