ALL New Connections - Back by Popular Demand! I'm still receiving some great photos from all you RP Members. THANKS!
Keep them coming!
All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

Me, during BCT at Ft. Leonard Wood, Jan or Feb 78. It snowed, a lot... Due to weather restrictions, we never did a bivouac, sometimes had to do PT in the barracks with the drill at the end of the hall, one person from each bay in the doorway to relay commands to the rest of us in the bays. We didn't do the confidence/obstacle course because it was covered in snow and ice, although as they ran out of things to do near the end they walked us through it and told us what we would have done on each obstacle.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - That was a typical day for the entire time I was in Basic. I quickly realized that one of the best benefits of my "leadership" position was the reflective vest! It was a solid material - not mesh like so many I see now, and having that to use in the snow kept me considerably dryer on most days. For some reason, when the Army provided our field jackets, they did NOT provide any liners, so the vest also helped with the wind. Lucky me! ;)

I found two of my photos, one at Basic Training in San Antonio, Texas and one as an E-3 in 1963. I have more photos, but I haven't found them yet!

Looking for mine. I have the physical boot camp grad picture and I know I've scanned it. In the mean time, this is my dad's WWII Army Air Corp picture.

I'm on the far right. This is a photo of the first women Army ROTC four year scholarship awardees ever - we're at Penn State

I'm trying to crop down a picture of Frank Hammond's wife, Ollie. She was in the Army Nurses Corps. It didn't dawn on me until I was reading about the ANC that all nurses were officers in the Army. So I have my grandmother as a veteran also. She and my grandfather met at Bethesda. She was a nurse and he was a patient. All I have tho is a large panorama pic of her nursing class at Camp (now Ft) Meade MD.
