ALL New Connections - Back by Popular Demand! I'm still receiving some great photos from all you RP Members. THANKS!
Keep them coming!
All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

Okay Mike, I found it. Taken at Basic Training Ft. Campbell, Kentucky - August 1970. I joined the National Guard on my birthday in September of 1969...went Active Duty almost exactly a year later. Oh to have just the one chin again. Smiles, Kevin

Ok, Mike ( Sir!) I am going to go look up my first photo in Uniform. I can tell you that there is absolutely no way I would fit in that Uniform anymore. Sigh. Not even close. It has been a delight looking through all these "old" photos though. Smiles, Sgt. Hughes

This photo was taken sometime after October 1960 at the U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Leavenworth, KS. I was a PFC E3 dirty leg then. My job was working in the post's Western Union and in the main communications center as a radio-teletype operator and communications specialist. Fort Leavenworth was a good assignment for me as I got involved with the theater and music-making.
I left as an SP4 to Yongsan, South Korea in February 1962.

SGT JoAnne Bastable-Parisi,
I met a lot of you MP's when I was in, as you always called to bring back wayward guys from our Platoon. You saved many a career with your judgement calls, and I thank you.
SGT Kevin Hughes.
