Sgt Kelli Mays, I like my fish, baked, broiled, and fried. I tried sushi when I was in Japan long before it became popular here, and I didn't like it. You can dip it in anything, but it's still raw fish. IMO.

if you are ever in San Antonio I'll take you to Fuji-ya...There are some baked or fried sushi that I think you may like.

It's *all* sushi. Nigiri sushi is a slice of raw fish on a bed of specially made sushi rice, Sashimi sushi is that same slice of raw fish without the rice, and Maki sushi is the roll.

I prefer sashimi, most of the time.  Madai (Japanese snapper) is my favorite, though lately I've been eating a lot of Kampachi (Amberjack).

I think I do. Isnt Sashimi partly cooked by lemon juice?
