Do you still get dropped from BLC for failing HT/WT?

I got my welcome letter and it said that students if they fail HT/WT they get disqualified from the Commandant's List, but nothing on getting dropped from the school. I know in priors years it would disqualify a soldier and fail them outright. Has BLC changed on that account?

Yea. You fail HT/WT and you're going home. Then your BDE CSM is gonna get a call...then your BN CSM....then finally your 1SG is gonna get a call.

I am sure the conversation between BDE CSM and BN CSM are pretty cordial however I would not want to be the one getting the call from the 1SG.

You will get sent home from every level of PME, and any other school that has a HT-WT screen, for failing HT-WT.
There was a brief period of a few years where failing a HT-WT just got you a marginal passing 1059 in BLC, but that ended years ago. Your BLC hasn't updated their welcome letter.

I think in the aspect of sending Service Members back from leadership training is one area that the Marine Corps changed policy that makes sense. If they show up to an Academy and fail Ht/Wt or the PFT/CFT they no longer remove them from the course, they still fail and receive and adverse FitRep but they are kept at the academy to receive the leadership training. Chances of getting promoted with the Adverse go to slim to none but you have a better leader for the remainder of their contract.

There are many commands that game the system by doing the following "Reporting on Day Zero is at 1300 in Building XXXX. Students will report in the Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU), and will conduct height and weight in accordance with AR 600-9 upon arrival. Soldiers who do not meet the Army wear and appearance standards will make necessary corrections or provide documentation of an approved exception to the policy prior to course in-processing. Soldiers who fail to make such corrections or produce documentation will be recommended for denied enrollment. " At this particular command, you get sent back to your unit, and other than some Special High Intensity Training ( SHIT) the CSM will be providing the CO 1SG, and that is passed down to the NCO support channel and the SM...It's done, the SM was never enrolled in BLC, so no 1059 is generated.
Many think this is done for the benefit of the SM, but I disagree, it's a self-serving policy that allows leadership to fail their duty and their Soldiers and have no lasting repercussions.
Train your SM, counsel them, tell them the truth, and lead by example (so ahh SGT, SSG, SFC, MSG, 1SG, CSM if you are 60 lb overweight or otherwise fail to meet 600-9 standards..fix your selves first, or choose to get out)...and provide the opportunity for success, if they choose not to use the opportunity, the training and support... DO YOUR JOB take the time and create the path for involuntary separation.

Ok the sh!t rolls down hill is correct. Now what I don't agree with individual punishment. We are suppose to work with SM not mock or trash him infront of his fellow SM and peers. Now I believe in corrective action but it is suppose to help the SM not hurt them more.
When I went it was just before they changed it to BLC. We got HT/WT before we left for WLC once we got there we were given another HT/WT when we arrived to WLC. If you failed HT/WT WHEN YOU GOT THERE then you failed and sent home

I think it should still you fail HT/WT you fail the course and sent back to your duty station. You would then have to wait a year before trying to make BLC

I asked this before I went, and it is that if you fail, you remain for a week when they'll re HT/WT and if you fail again (Also if you didn't get a 540 or higher on the ACFT) then they send you home. We had three from my class that failed tape the second time and we're sent back.
